All extracurricular activities are also canceled.
School is currently scheduled to resume on Wednesday, January 28, pending weather conditions. Updates will be shared through ParentSquare.
Thank you for your understanding as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff.

After careful review of the weather forecast and current conditions, Burton ISD has made the decision to close school on Monday, January 26, 2026. The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our top priority, and this decision was made due to the anticipated weather impacts in our area.
At this time, school is scheduled to resume on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at the regular start time. We will continue to monitor the weather and provide any further updates if necessary through ParentSquare.
Please stay safe, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation. We look forward to welcoming students back once conditions improve.
Sincerely,
Vikki Curry
