The Kitchen & Cafeteria expansion includes two serving lines to more efficiently serve students, enclosed hallways from adjacent buildings, seating for 340-360 depending on furniture arrangement in each lunch period, & a commercial kitchen to accommodate a culinary arts program.

Space is limited in the kitchen and cafeteria. As BISD grows, the Cafeteria will need to accommodate more students.

BISD is growing. Our elementary school has grown by more than 20% over the last five years. The elementary building is at 94% functional capacity, with only 19 seats remaining.

Burton High School is one of the main projects that will be addressed in the 2021 bond proposal. Check out what BHS will receive if the bond proposal is approved by voters.

Burton ISD will be providing factual voter education through all available channels to ensure that all voters have information about the 2021 bond. Look for information in emails, mail, signs, social media & the district website. Election Day is Tuesday, 11/2/21.

Science students are practicing using lab tools in class.



Burton ISD residents age 65 and older will not be impacted financially by the proposed bond if they have filed the proper Homestead Exemption with the Washington County Central Appraisal District. Their taxes are frozen and cannot go over their frozen amount.

Athletic Ticketing

The last bond passed by Burton ISD was 13 years ago, which funded the building of a new elementary school and gym, bus barn and the Ag Building.
