Several Texas School Districts faced threats from an alleged Russian terrorist today via email. Fortunately, Burton ISD has not received the threat, but some surrounding school districts have. The Burton ISD safety and security team is fully informed, prioritizing the safety of our community. We want to assure our staff and parents that we are actively monitoring the situation and collaborating with local authorities to ensure the ongoing safety of our schools. Your cooperation and awareness are crucial in maintaining a secure environment for our students and staff.

Zach P. earned the #1 spot on the alto saxophone amongst other 7th and 8th grade students at the ATSSB All-region audition this past Saturday in Smithville. Zach competed against students from middle schools whose districts feed into 1A-4A schools and some private schools.
