Dirt work has begun in earnest as crews are cutting the location of the future football field. Crews are also working to remove the last remnants of the concession stand & awnings from the old field.

Congrats to the yearbook staff on placing in the 2022 Best in Texas Yearbook Awards through TAJE. There were 1,101 entries. Of these, 615 received an award of Superior, Excellent or Honorable Mention.

Texas Association of Journalism Educator's announced that Burton ISD's Yearbook, headed by Lauren Hodde, won a Superior Best in Texas Award & was included in the Yearbook Design Category video. This is a huge accomplishment. The team also won Honorable Mention & Excellent Awards.

The lights are coming down!! Workers removed the lights for the current football field today & have been working to secure the temporary fiber line (internet) in the Rock Building this week. We are getting closer and closer to the starting the groundwork for the new building.
