What a great time to be a Burton Panther!!!

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY tomorrow!!! Enjoy your special sweetheart!

Welcome to the Burton Independent School District weekly update. Bond Project information will be shared as it pertains to the planning and construction of our new facilities.  Despite the cold weather and rain delays, Circle H Dirt Work and Excavation continue to coordinate cut and fill dirt work that will level the groundwork in preparation for the athletic facilities’ foundation. The process of chemical injections and soil stabilization will be performed per Geotech specifications. Circle H will also provide the scope of work for the storm drainage system installation called for by Civil Engineering. An 8’ construction safety fence to keep unauthorized personnel from entering the site will be installed. Several contracts are still in negotiation to explore any potential problem areas, present additional cost savings, and most of all to promote the most efficient building structures. Please feel free to email any questions to bondinfo@stu.burtonisd.net.

Congratulations to our Burton Youth Basketball Teams. Players and coaches were recognized at one of our recent home basketball games. Proud of all of these Future Panthers. We appreciate those who volunteer their time to work with them.

Thank you Mrs. Rhodes for all that you do for our students every day as we recognize National School Counseling Week.

The Texas A&M School of Nursing TXAN Mobile Care Clinic will be located @ the Burton Central Administration Office today for an open house reception. Come see the new Mobile Clinic that will provide school based primary care services for students and community members from 2:00-6:00 p.m.

Burton Elementary students will participate in UIL Awards @ 8:00 on Friday, February 17th in the Elementary Gym. Congratulations to these students. Also, congratulations to our Burton Junior High UIL participants who placed 1st team at district competition. Very proud of these students’ academic accomplishments.

Please feel free to come visit Burton Independent School District and thank you in advance for taking time to find out more about our schools, our professional staff, our exemplary students, and our excellent academic programs. Burton Schools are a perfect place to get an education that will prepare your child for a bright future.

There is a tremendous amount of community support that goes into the success of our programs in Burton ISD. We appreciate everyone who helps make a positive impact on our schools. All of us working cooperatively make Burton ISD better together. So proud to be a BURTON PANTHER!

Lots of great things are going on this school year. Follow all of our activities on the Burton ISD website @ www.burtonisd.net, check out the Burton ISD app, and keep up with the latest happenings on the Burton ISD Facebook page and other social media venues.

The pride of the Burton Panthers is embedded in all of us whether we are a student, an alumni, a community member, a staff member and employee, a parent, board member and/or a proud supporter and in many cases all of the above. We love our Panthers and like to think that the culture we are providing in educating our students is a reason why parents want their children to attend Burton ISD. We value our school district and always put students first. For the 2022-2023 school year, Learning is Our Superpower as we are Building Our Future!!! Have a blessed day!  GO BIG RED!
