Vivian Layman, a 9th grader in Mrs. Purvis's English I Honors Class, won The Voice of Democracy Essay Contest this week. She received a scholarship from the VFW Auxiliary No. 7104 in Brenham. Her essay will now advance to the district contest. Way to go, Vivian. We are all proud of you.
