The Burton Panthers competed last week in the District 26AA UIL Academic meet. Speaking and writing events were held Tuesday, April 2 at Burton High School and all objective tests were held Friday, April 5th at Blinn's Brenham campus. Burton finished 2nd overall amongst the schools. In total, the Panthers entered 40 students across 22 contests. Thirty-two of these students placed in at least one event and 15 students advanced to Regionals in at least one event. The Regional UIL Academic meet is being held on the Texas A&M Corpus Christi campus on Friday and Saturday, April 26 & 27.
