The Burton Panthers continued their 2024 season with a trip to Taylor this Saturday. The Panthers took nine lifters to the Taylor Invitational and placed seven and medaled six.
Avery Applewhite (Jr.) competed in the 132 weight class and finished 4th, while Katy Whitfield (Sr.) competed in the 220 weight class, and finished 3rd.
For the boys, in the 123 weight class, Hunter Duffy (So.) again won his weight class. Jackson Morey (Jr.) finished 3rd in the same weight class. Mark Odom (Jr.) added 50 lbs to his three-lift total, finishing with a combined 905 lbs and a third-place finish in the 148 weight class. Keegan Fenner (Sr.) finished 2nd in the 242 weight class with a 1360 combined total. Patrick Tavary (Sr.) finished 2nd in the 308 weight class with a 1055 combined total.
The Burton Panthers travel to Elgin High School next Saturday, January 27th. Lifting starts at 8:30 am.
