Superintendent's Letter

What a great time to be a Burton Panther!!!

Every year during October, Read to Them sponsors Read Aloud to a Child Week, a national event to showcase the importance of reading aloud to children and to encourage families to read together. The 2023 event will run from October 22nd – 28th. For 20 years, Read Aloud to a Child Week has been a stress-free way for everyone to engage with the literacy community. To participate, all you need to do is pick up a book and read it aloud as a family. With Read to Them curating book lists for picture and chapter books, it’s easier to dive into stories that enrich the selected theme. Find resources @  www.readtothem.org.  | | www.readtothem.org

Burton ISD recognizes Red Ribbon Week which inspires our kids to be happy, brave, and drug free.

Good luck to our Cross Country participants @ Regional Competition today. GO PANTHERS!!!

Facilities Construction Project information update: Coordinating the relocation of existing transformer at the AG shop with Moeller Electric and Bluebonnet Electric. Champion Site Prep scheduled to perform necessary site-work in preparation for trenching. Moeller will begin work to install the new primary power. Bluebonnet will then inspect installations and coordinate to finalize the new transformer installation. The pride of the Burton Panthers is embedded in all of us whether we are a student, an alumni, a community member, a staff member and employee, a parent, board member and/or a proud supporter and in many cases all of the above. We love our Panthers and like to think that the culture we are providing in educating our students is a reason why parents want their children to attend Burton ISD. We value our school district and always put students first. For the 2023-2024 school year, Learning is Llamazing as we Rise Up @ Burton ISD!!! Have a blessed day and GO BIG RED!!!
