My name is Candi Weige. I was raised in Brenham, Texas, graduate of Brenham High School. I found my love for softball playing as a child and just could not get enough of it. After playing under 2 great coaches in High School, and a terrific summer ball coach, I earned a scholarship to Blinn College. I learned a great deal in my first 2 years of college ball and was able to take that knowledge to the next level of collegiate play at the University of Houston (Go Coogs!). After playing 2 seasons under Kyla Holas, I not only learned more about softball from a players aspect, but educated myself from a coaches aspect as well. It was there I realized I wanted to become a coach.
This is my second year here at Burton and I feel truly blessed to be here. I work with great teachers and coaches who are very supportive of this softball program. I have a great group of girls whose work ethic is amazing and knowledge and love for the game grows every day. They know my intensity and come to work hard every day. I am a fanatic about detail. These girls know that if they want to succeed in this sport, they must focus on the fine points of the game.
I live here in Burton with my 2 year old daughter, Avery. My family is absolutely the best part of my life. I could not be more proud to have such a great group of people surround me every day. Come out and support our girls this season! GO PANTHERS!!
