Estimation Jar Each week one student has the privilege of taking the Estimation Jar home. At home the student fills the jar with small objects. The student needs to count how many objects they put in the jar. When the jar is returned to school, all the students will try to estimate how many objects are in the jar. The student with the closest estimate gets to take the jar home. |

Science Lab Mrs. Science comes to second grade when it is time to go to the science lab! The students get excited because Mrs. Science brings lab coats for all the students to wear. So far in the science lab we have: - Learned how to measure temperature with a thermometer |

Citizen of the Week Each week one student gets to decorate a bulletin board. The student brings pictures and trophies to share with the class. It’s your time to shine! |

Hot Wheel Races At the end of each six weeks any student who has had good conduct gets to participate in the Hot Wheel Races at Robinson Speedway! Students get to participate in the races if: · They have less than 4 lunch detentions. · They bring back their homework each day. · They do not get sent to the office. On your mark… Get set… Go! |

Homework Policy Homework is given approximately twice a week. Students are expected to complete their homework and bring it back the following school day. Students who fail to return their homework will automatically receive an N in conduct. |

Behavior Policy Conduct reports are given daily. Please check your child’s folder each day. S = Made good choices! S- = Received 5 minutes of recess time out. N = Received 10 to 15 minutes of recess time out or did not complete homework. U = Received 20 minutes of recess time out and served lunch detention. |
